On Feb. 13, Hilo Circuit Court Judge Greg Nakamura handed down the sentence to 49-year-old Leonard Adam Kaleo Bidad Jr. of Hawaiian Paradise Park. In a deal with prosecutors, Bidad pleaded no contest to two counts of second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug. In return, prosecutors dropped numerous other felony charges, including six counts of attempted first-degree meth trafficking.

An “ice” dealer was sentenced to 10 years to prison earlier this month.
